Description: A man dressed in business attire walks towards the camera. The shot of him walking is blurred. The Canada Life logo appears on screen over him. A makeup artist applies makeup to a young financial security advisor dressed in business attire. Three other advisors and the Vice-President of Advisor Practice Development and Talent watch the process with interest. A sound technician holding a microphone walks in front of the camera. Two of the advisors start jokingly mugging for the camera as the others start to laugh.

A text banner overlays the image: The Advisors. The scene transitions to the four financial security advisors – Calvin, Laurie, Ryan, and Lyndsey - animatedly engaged in conversation around a table in a financial centre.

[indistinct conversation]

Cut to a close up of Ryan speaking, followed by a shot of Calvin enthusiastically speaking while Laurie nods her head in agreement. During this shot, we hear Calvin’s voice as narration:

Calvin narration: What appealed to me about this career was being my own boss.

Description: The scene transitions to an interview with Calvin. He is sitting in an open office space confidently speaking to an interviewer that is off camera. A text title appears beside him: Calvin, Financial Security Advisor.

Calvin: I feel like I'm an entrepreneurial personality, and running my own practice was something that really appealed to me.

Description: Cut to a close up shot of Calvin.

Calvin: Yes, I'm still working with a team but in the end whatever I put into this career is what I'm going to get back.

Description: The scene transitions back to the conversation with the advisors around the table, beginning with a close up shot of Laurie confidently speaking as Calvin listens attentively.

[indistinct conversation]

The scene cuts to a wide shot of the same scene as Laurie continues speaking. During this shot, we hear Laurie’s voice as narration. She is speaking French.

Laurie narration: Being an advisor allows me to have balance.

Description: The scene transitions to an interview shot of Laurie speaking to an interviewer who is off camera. A text title appears beside her: Laurie, Financial Security Advisor.

Laurie: First because I get to manage my schedule. So, based on my goals, I allow time for my family, for working out,

Description: As the interview continues the scene transitions to a shot of Laurie sitting by a large window happily chatting on the phone with a client. Her narration continues.

Laurie narration: and, of course, for work so I can reach my objectives.

Description: The scene transitions back to the conversation with the advisors around the table, beginning with a close up shot of Ryan cheerfully speaking with his fellow advisors. During this shot, we hear his voice as narration.

Ryan narration: One thing I'd change about my career, I'd like to speed up the first three months coming into the industry.

Description: The scene transitions to an interview with Ryan sitting in an office foyer. He is speaking to an interviewer who is off camera. A text title appears beside him: Ryan, Financial Security Advisor.

Ryan: It's a challenging first three months,

Description: As the interview continues the scene transitions to a shot of Ryan scrolling on his phone. Cut to a close up of Ryan’s face as her turns from the phone to his laptop, followed by a close up of his hands resting on his laptop. His narration continues.

Ryan narration: but once you get your feet wet you really see what the future can be.

Description: The scene transitions back to the interview shot of Ryan.

Ryan: It's a great, exciting career filled with limitless potential. It's all on you and what you make of it,

Description: Cut to a close up of Ryan.

Ryan: but if you put in the work there's the education there to help support you and the staff there to help guide you along the way and it's a great position to be in.

Description: The scene transitions to a wide shot of Lyndsey working on her laptop while speaking on the phone with one of her clients. The scene quickly cuts to a close up of the same shot. During these shots, we hear Lyndsey’s voice as narration.

Lyndsey narration: What I love most about being an advisor is how I connect with people every day,

Description: The scene transitions to an interview with Lyndsey sitting in an office. She is speaking to an interviewer who is off camera. A text title appears beside her: Lyndsey, Financial Security Advisor.

Lyndsey: and when I see the results of what work I've done with them and I get a handshake,

Description: Cut to a close up of Lyndsey.

Lyndsey: or especially when I get a hug at the end of the day, it's a really nice feeling to know that I've connected and that I've made a difference in someone's life.

Description: The scene transitions back to the conversation with the advisors around the table, beginning with a close up shot of Calvin doubling over in laughter. Beside him at the table, Laurie is also laughing.
