Canada Life partners with the CHL for the 2019-20 season

The 2019-20 junior hockey season is well underway, and Canada Life™ is going to be a part of it in a major way.

As an official sponsor of the CHL and teams in the WHL, OHL, and QMJHL, Canada Life will be sponsoring the CIBC Canada Russia Series, Kubota Top Prospects game, and the Memorial Cup presented by Kia. The Canada Russia series kicks off Nov. 4th and is an opportunity for fans to see some of the league’s top players, while also taking in one of hockey’s greatest rivalries.

“The CIBC Canada Russia Series showcases our league’s best players who will proudly be considered as members of Canada’s National Junior team in pursuit of gold at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship in the Czech Republic,” says the CHL’s Director of Corporate Partnerships, Kyle Ferguson.

“The Series has been an integral part of the identification process for Team Canada for the past 16 years for the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship. We’ve seen the Canada and Russia rivalry ignite passion in CHL communities across our great country."

Canada Life will also be the presenting partner for 31 game nights this season in various communities across Canada.  These nights will include a Canada Life sponsored intermission activity with prizes and have a number of other features throughout the arena.

“Our focus on delivering value to all stakeholders, including our partners, our partners’ clients, the CHL, Hockey fans and Canadian community members and most importantly our players, allows us to continue building strong partnerships and great community connections,” Ferguson adds.

One of the goals of the CHL is to provide a great atmosphere for their fans and have them feel like they are a part of the community when they attend a game. Partnering with the CHL is a perfect fit for Canada Life, as both organizations strive to give back to the communities where they live and work.
