Winnipeg, May 18, 2017 – The Canadian Red Cross issued a Spring Floods Appeal in response to the extensive flooding in several provinces across Canada that has forced thousands of people from their homes and communities. In response, Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life have contributed $25,000 to aid in relief and support efforts.

“We understand the devastation that the floods can have on individuals, families, homes and communities. That is why we are supporting the Canadian Red Cross’ efforts to help those impacted,” said Stefan Kristjanson, President and Chief Operating Officer for Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life. “We sincerely thank all of the volunteers and first responders whose efforts are making a difference for those affected.”

Donations to the Canadian Red Cross will support ongoing immediate relief efforts for impacted areas, as well as help for individuals, families and entire communities as needs arise over time and people recover from this disaster.
