Winnipeg, MB. March 20, 2020. . . Canada Life announced today that they have implemented support measures for clients directly affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

“We’re committed to putting the financial, physical and mental health of our people, customers and communities at the forefront of our decisions, and it’s no different during these challenging times. That’s why we’re working with our mortgage clients on a case-by-case basis to provide flexible solutions to help them manage challenges such as childcare or pay disruption, or illness from COVID-19,” said Jeff Macoun, President and COO, Canada, at Canada Life. “Throughout this ongoing and evolving situation, we will continue to be open for business and here to serve Canadians when you need us most.”

Clients who are directly affected by COVID-19 and may have difficulty making their payments could be eligible for special measures that can include payment deferrals of up to six months on mortgages.

How to inquire about mortgage support:

  • Clients may call 1-888-893-8383 from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST. A mortgage contact centre representative will assist them to see if they are eligible for payment deferral.
