So ALL Kids Can Play

KidSport Manitoba is excited to announce that Canada Life is returning for another year as the corporate sponsor for all of our chapters across the province. Canada Life has supported KidSport Manitoba since 1996, helping remove the financial barriers in sport for kids across our province.

KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization made up of provincial and regional chapters that provide financial assistance for registration fees to under-privileged kids aged 18 and under to participate in organized sport. In 2019, KidSport Manitoba granted $396,711, to 1,740 kids across the province.

KidSport believes all kids should have the opportunity to develop healthy lifestyles, no matter the financial barriers that may exist. Staying physically active helps encourage children to maintain healthy habits throughout their whole lives. The challenges that come with playing sports also teach children valuable life lessons and skills including leadership, practice, hard work, dedication and self-confidence.

“Canada Life has supported KidSport Manitoba and its mission for more than two decades. We are very grateful that they will continue to be instrumental in helping give kids across Manitoba the opportunity to develop healthy lifestyles and experience the benefits of playing organized sport.”

  • Jeff Hnatiuk, President & CEO, Sport Manitoba

“We are extremely pleased that Canada Life is continuing their support of KidSport Manitoba. Their tremendous contribution to our mandate of getting kids off the sidelines and into the game is critical to us being able to accomplish our goals of getting more kids into organized sports, which teaches them many valuable life lessons.”

  • Rick McGregor, Chair, KidSport Manitoba Provincial Advisory

At Canada Life, we work with organizations to assist kids whose families face financial obstacles, so they can participate in community sport programs without experiencing barriers. We’re thrilled to continue our longstanding support and work alongside KidSport again this year to help kids in Manitoba develop healthy lifestyles and experience the benefits of organized recreational sports.”
