Donation to be made in Steven Gagnon’s name
Montreal, QC, February 7, 2020. . . On Friday, February 7, a young volunteer at the Fondation Albatros will take a shot to celebrate life at the Shawinigan Cataractes game.
As the game’s presenting sponsor, Canada Life will invite 13-year-old Steven Gagnon to shoot for the chance to have a $1,000 donation made to Fondation Albatros in his name.
With Maison Albatros being an important source of support and care for members of his community, Steven Gagnon began volunteering at Fondation Albatros and is actively involved in the organization’s fundraising activities.
“At Canada Life, we support initiatives that help communities and individuals reach their potential every day and this is why we’re proud to support the Fondation Albatros’ mission,” said Jean-Philippe Boulay, General Director, Business Development at Freedom 55 Financial, a division of Canada Life. “Together, we can do more for Quebecers, for the people around us and for the communities we love.”
“Being treated with respect and compassion are paramount for people in the final stage of their life,” says Yves Gabias, Chairman of the Board of Fondation Albatros. “With the help of Fondation Albatros, family members of those staying at Maison Albatros can feel comforted knowing that the person they love is being cared for by professionals and attentive volunteers.”
