Canada Life Expands Accessibility by offering On-Demand Financial Literacy Resources in ASL and LSQ

Winnipeg, MB – September 24, 2025 – Canada Life is proud to announce a significant step forward in accessibility and inclusion: select Saving for Life financial literacy webinars are now available in American Sign Language (ASL) and Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ).

This initiative reflects Canada Life’s ongoing ambition to make financial education more inclusive and accessible to all Canadians.

“Offering the on-demand resources in ASL and LSQ is one way we’re working to ensure individuals have inclusive access to the resources they need —both to make informed decisions today and to build a secure financial future,” said Kate Nazar, VP Workplace Retirement and Savings, Canada Life.

Launched to coincide with International Week of Deaf People, this offering raises awareness of the communication barriers the community faces to access financial literacy resources. By providing ASL and LSQ interpretation, Canada Life aims to empower Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed financial decisions comfortably.

“Making these webinars available in ASL and LSQ shows the importance of breaking barriers every day,” said Beverley Dooley, Manager, Customer Experience, Canadian Hearing Services.

These webinars are available on demand, meaning members can access them anytime—no registration required. Topics include budgeting, saving for retirement, managing debt, and understanding their group savings plan. Canada Life is proud to play a leading role in advancing accessible financial literacy by expanding resources available in ASL and LSQ.
