Prescribed Registered Retirement Income Funds
Prescribed registered retirement income funds (PRRIFs) are available to former pension plan members who have money in a Saskatchewan locked-in RRSP or LIRA and are eligible to retire, and to individuals with an existing Saskatchewan LIF or LRIF.
A PRRIF is a retirement income product that allows for pension funds to be paid as a retirement income, without restricting the maximum income available, and while still being governed by The Saskatchewan Pension Benefits Act, 1992 and the Regulations. A legislated minimum amount must be redeemed each year.
